The mid-70s were undoubtedly a purple patch in Rangers' famous old history. Dave Sexton's free-flowing QPR side of 1975/76 were pipped to the First Division title by Liverpool - on the final day of the campaign while, astoundingly, some five members of that team were given England call-ups in the same season.
